What to expect
THIS WILL BE LESS SCARY THAN IT SEEMS, PROMISE.
We want everyone we photograph to feel comfortable, look good and have FUN! Most importantly, we want you to know we care about *you*. It means a lot to us that you trust us with your intimate portraits, but we know you are also trusting us with your body image, and we don’t take that responsibility or privilege lightly.
WE ARE GONNA HAVE FUN AND MAKE SOME MAGIC TOGETHER.
Our team will joke with you and make you feel at ease very quickly. We will gladly take on the roles of both therapist and cheerleader at any given moment. We will take a one minute dance break if our favorite song comes on the playlist. Your photographer will guide you through posing (you will never wonder what to do with your hands), and soon any anxiety you might have had will have melted away. We will make you feel like a freaking rockstar, and we will always be equally professional and fun, and you will know without a doubt that we care about you and your experience.

We know that deciding to take the leap and book a boudoir experience can be scary, but with the right photographer and team (*us*) it will be an empowering, fun, confidence-building experience. We guarantee you are going to have a blast with us, and you will leave with amazing photos and a confidence high like no other.
The Process
BOOKING
After you contact us, we will be in touch asap to schedule a quick phone call where we answer all your questions, go over available dates, prices, packages and product info. A signed contract + retainer fee secures your date. Once you book, we will send you all the info you need to help you prepare for your session.
VIBE CONSULT
Next you will fill out a questionnaire so that we can tailor a personalized experience for you and we touch base about your vision for your session. If you have a plan already, let's go for it! But we are here if you want guidance: we can go over outfit options and help you express your vibe and flatter your body type. We will give you tips on where to shop, but you also have access to our extensive client closet with hundreds of options in all sizes from XS-4X.
PRO MAKEUP
Pro makeup is included with every session! Sip Rosé while you relax and let an amazing makeup artist work their magic. Come with a makeup look in mind for them to execute, or let them create a custom look for you. (Need hair help? Add professional hair styling for an additional fee).
THE SESSION
Your photographer will guide you step by step to pose! It will be fun, we guarantee it. And you will be surprised how quickly you will feel comfortable. We use light, angles and posing to create images that highlight your favorite parts and flatter your body. You can go as wild or as chill as you want to during your session- it is up to you how much you want covered, and we will always respect your preferences.
VIEWING & ORDERING
After your session, go grab some lunch and meet me back at the studio in 2 hours to see your photos!! Yep, you read that right. We will get to work right away editing your images so that you can view them when you return that very same day, and we will walk you through all of the options for ordering products and packages. At this time, you also can sign a release if you don't mind your images being shared with future clients, otherwise your images are always private.

YOUR BOUDOIR SHOOT SEEMS AMAZING BUT HOW MUCH IS IT?
If you want the cheapest, this is not it. If you want a personalized, luxury, full-day, transformative self-love experience that will leave you feeling sexy and confident, you found it. The session fee is $795 and client investment in digital images, prints, albums and collections begins at $1995. We offer pre-session payment plans and accept afterpay!
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE
SHOULD I BOOK MY SESSION?
WHERE AND WHEN DO YOU SHOOT SESSIONS?
We pre-schedule and advertise specific boudoir session dates. Sessions take place on weekdays, and makeup and prep begins at 9:30 am. Most sessions are shot in our studio in Westminster Maryland, or we can shoot at a location of your choice (we can even shoot outside if you want!) A travel fee may apply for alternate locations. Most clients book 3-12 months in advance. Session dates typically sell out about 3-4 months in advance, faster if you want to work directly with Karen. To take full advantage of our no-interest payment plans, I highly suggest booking 9-12 months out.
EVERYONE IN THESE PHOTOS LOOKS SO CHILL, HOW? I’M SUPER NERVOUS!
The bottom line is, we know this is most likely a new experience. We know you are stepping out of your comfort zone. We got you. Before the session, we will get to know your vision, your preferences, your fears. We will use that info to guide you step by step in styling and posing. I promise you will be surprised how quickly you feel comfortable, and you will laugh through the whole session (in between sultry posing haha). I’M CURVY, IS THIS JUST FOR SKINNY CHICKS??
Umm what?? Heck no this is for EVERY body. Don't you dare let the thought cross your mind that you are too [insert negative self-talk adjective here] for boudoir. Don't tell yourself you will do it after you [insert negative crap about fixing your "flaws" here]. In fact, if you are feeling insecure for any reason, that is all the more reason that we encourage you to do this as you are RIGHT NOW. Celebrate yourself as you are. We can't wait to see you view your final images, and STOMP those insecurities into the ground.
CAN I KEEP MY PHOTOS PRIVATE?
Absolutely. All photo galleries are private and password protected. However, if you love them and want me to share them with future clients, we would LOVE to do so. After you view the images, we will give you the option to sign a release to allow your images to be shared with future clients. There is no obligation or pressure to do so, though. And if you don't want them shared, they will always remain private.
WHICH PHOTOGRAPHER WILL I WORK WITH?
You get to choose your photographer. Karen's dates book 4-6 months in advance, or you can work with Jessi or Kelly for a more last minute booking.
EXACTLY HOW NAKED DO I NEED TO GET?
You can go as tame or as wild as you want. It's up to you how much you want covered (or uncovered). You may start out with no intention of taking things off, but then get comfortable and decide to go a step further-and we will always respect your preferences. We can also do"implied nudity" where we make things steamy but keep it more reserved by using angles and shadows. It is totally up to you, and you will never be pressured.
DO YOU WORK WITH COUPLES? CAN I BRING A FRIEND OR MY SIGNIFICANT OTHER WITH ME?
It depends! We offer couples sessions for lovers who want to celebrate their connection with each other, so if both of you are planning to get in front of the camera together, then absolutely! However, we ask that only the person/people being photographed join us in the studio. This experience works best when you and your photographer make a connection. Having someone else in the room that isn't part of the shoot, even if it’s someone you love, can be a distraction. The only input and opinions that matter to us are yours, and the easiest way to build trust is to have a chance to chat and connect during your session. The number one thing clients say about us is that we feel like friends. We want you to feel 100% comfortable, and we want you to know we are truly invested in making this an amazingly positive experience!
***We DO offer "Share Your Session Date" discount where you and a friend book a session on the same date and split your session fee. It’s a good way to have a fun girls day while also getting a deal on your session fee :) Contact us for more info about this promotion!
WHEN WILL I GET TO SEE MY PHOTOS?
TWO HOURS after your session. Yep, you read that right. We will get to work right away editing your images so that you can go grab lunch or a coffee, and come back and view them that very same day. When you come back, we will walk you through all of the options for ordering products and packages. Turnaround time for retouched digital galleries is 2-3 weeks. Turnaround time for albums is 4-6 weeks. We do offer rush options for an additional fee.
CAN YOU PHOTOSHOP MY BUTT TO LOOK LIKE KIM KARDASHIAN’S?
Yes and no. Yes, we use flattering posing, careful use of angles and meticulous editing to help you look like the best version of yourself. That said, we value self-love, body positivity and authenticity, and you should too (especially if you hired us)! That means if your butt doesn't already look like Kim K's, it probably won't look like it in your edited photos, either, but that’s ok, because I’m quite certain your butt is amazing already lol! In all seriousness though: we don't typically do extensive editing to change things that make you you because we like you the way you are. Things like color correction and small blemish removal are included, but things like digitally altering your body shape are not. However if it is something you desperately want, it can usually be done but there is a per-image flat rate fee associated with those types of extensive edits.
